Downtown Summerlin Grand Opening

For me, the opening of Downtown Summerlin was very important.  Finally, a shopping center minutes from our new condo!!!  (This fact was actually one of the selling points in making our choice for our new home a few months ago.)  The structure and the ambience reminds me of a true west coast open-aired shopping center.  I get a little home sick, Ala Moana Shopping Center, on the island of Oahu was definitely my ideal open-aired mall growing up.  Shopping at Ala Moana, with the beautiful view of the beaches were amazing.  Downtown Summerlin has the serene views of Red Rock, a view that must be enjoyed especially at sunset at one of the many restaurants with outdoor seating.

Fortunately, I was lucky enough to work Downtown Summerlin's Grand Opening VIP party, #FASHIONMEETSTHEROCK

I got an awesome view of all the Las Vegans who showed up to be a part of the opening nights light show and events. VIP or not, everyone is treated like a star at Downtown Summerlin.

This event was work for

Lucky for me, I actually knew one of the VIPs who got an invite to the party.  Here's a peek into the coveted swag bag which included: wine, beauty samples, a very cute mini Sephora make up bag, and gift certificates.
